May 24, 2013 Bank of Russia has issued commemorative coins:
A Silver coins of 3 rubles and a golden coins of 100 rubles in memoriam the 70th anniversary of the defeat of the Soviet forces of Nazi troops in the Battle of Stalingrad;


coin of base metal face value of 10 rubles, marking the 70th anniversary of the defeat of the Soviet forces of Nazi troops in the Battle of Stalingrad.

Gold and silver coins are made quality "proof".

Description of precious metal coins:

Silver coin of 3 Rubles (metal content 31.1g, fineness 925, catalog № 5111-0262), golden coin of 100 rubles (metal content  15.55 g sample of 999, catalog number 5217 - 0042) have a circular diameter respectively 39.0 mm and 30.0 mm.

Circulation of the new coins:

Silver coin of RR 3 - 5.0 thousand pieces;
Golden coin 100 rubles - 500 pieces (this coin is a rare and expensive).
Coin of base metal - 10.0 million pieces.

On the reverse side of all coins have relief images of sculpture "Standing death!" of the memorial complex "To the Heroes of the Stalingrad Battle" on Mamaev Kurgan in Volgograd and a five-pointed star in a circle with inscription "70th anniversary of the defeat of Soviet troops by Nazi troops in the Battle of Stalingrad."

The coins are legal cash payment in the Russian Federation and must be accepted at face value in all kinds of payments without any restrictions.
